Non Siamo Soli (We Are Not Alone) - Eros Ramazotti and Ricky Martin
Qabbani here is the translation of the song :)
Eros: E' la voglia di cambiare la realtà,
IT'S THE DESIRE TO CHANGE REALITY
che mi fa sentire ancora vivo
THAT MAKES ME FEEL ALIVE
E cercherò tutti quelli come me
AND I'LL SEARCH FOR ALL THOSE PEOPLE LIKE ME
che hanno ancora un sogno in più...un sogno in più
THAT STILL HAVE ONE MORE DREAM...ONE MORE DREAM
Ricky: Dentro un libro che nessuno ha scritto mai,
INSIDE A BOOK THAT NO ONE HAS EVER WRITTEN
leggo le istruzione della vita,
I READ THE INSTRUCTIONS OF LIFE
anche se so che poi non le seguirò,
EVEN IF I KNOW I WON'T FOLLOW THEM AFTERWARDS
farò ciò che sento...
I'LL DO WHAT I FEEL
Rit.
Eros: Oltre le distanze, noi non siamo soli
BEYOND THE DISTANCE, WE ARE NOT ALONE
figli della stessa umanità
SONS OF THE SAME HUMANITY
Anime viaggianti in cerca di ideali,
TRAVELLING SOULS LOOKING FOR IDEALS
il coraggio non ci mancherà
WE WON'T LACK COURAGE
Supera I confini di qualunque ideologia,
GOES BEYOND ANY IDEOLOGY
l'emozione che ci unisce in una grande idea
THE EMOTION THAT BRINGS US TOGETHER FOR ONE GREAT IDEA
Un altro mondo possibile c'è
THERE'S ANOTHER POSSIBLE WORLD
E lo cerco anch'io e lo voglio anch'io come te...
AND I AM ALSO LOOKING FOR IT AND I WANT IT JUST THE WAY YOU DO
Ricky: Nelle pagine lasciate in bianco noi,
ON THE BLANK PAGES
diamo spazio a tutti I nostri sogni
WE'LL GIVE SPACE TO ALL OUR DREAMS
Eros: nessuno mai il futuro ruberà,
NOBODY WILL EVER STEAL THE FUTURE
dalle nostre mani...
FROM OUR HANDS
Oltre le distanze, noi non siamo soli
BEYOND THE DISTANCES, WE ARE NOT ALONE
senza più certezze e verità
WITHOUT ANY CERTAINTY OR TRUTH
Anime confuse, cuori prigionieri
CONFUSED SOULS, CAPTIVE HEARTS
con la stessa idea di libertà...libertà
WITH THE SAME IDEA OF FREEDOM.. FREEDOM
Oltre le distanze, non siamo soli
BEYOND THE DISTANCE WE ARE NOT ALONE
l'incertezza non ci fermerà
UNCERTAINTY WON'T STOP US
Supera I confini, non conosce geografia l'emozione che ci unisce in una grande idea
GOES BEYOND THE FRONTIERS, DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT GEOGRAPHY THE EMOTION THAT BRINGS US TOGETHER FOR THIS GREAT IDEA
Oltre le distanze noi non siamo soli, sempre in cerca della verità
BEYOND THE DISTANCE WE ARE NOT ALONE, ALWAYS LOOKING FOR THE TRUTH
Anime viaggianti, cuori prigionieri, con la stessa idea di libertà
TRAVELLING SOULS, CAPTIVE HEARTS, WITH THE SAME IDEA OF FREEDOM
Un altro mondo possibile c'è e lo sto cercando insieme a te
THERE IS ANOTHER WORLD AND I WILL FIND IT WITH YOU
anch'io con te
AND ME WITH YOU
Insieme a me
WITH ME
E tu con me...
AND YOU WITH ME

30 days and still waiting
Since they start digging the tunnel in Madina Al-Tibeyeh Street, we have this hole in front of the showroom, to remind you of the date even check my old post about the electricity and phone line cutting off. And because they were working we had no right to complain, but it’s been like 30 days now and there is no body workin.
So we called the Greater Amman Municipality to file a complaint, their response was that they will close it within 10 days. Its 22 days now and none came!
We called them again and they said we should file a complaint to the Water Authority of Jordan since they are the one who dug it!!!!! : 8
So we called the Water Authority of Jordan and complained a file! Hopefully this HOLE will be closed NEXT YEAR!
So Frustrating!

A song
It’s weird how it is that a song can express how you feel deep down inside and can affect you in some kinda way, some songs can make you laugh and smile when other can make you cry .
Song: Casey
Artist: Darren Hayes
Driving in your car
With the windows down
And a beat-up stereo
Struggle with this town
Cause you love to hate it
But hate to let it we’re all alone
And so tired of being underrated
So don’t take me home
Cause I feel life when you come and save
A yellow car speeding down a south-side freeway
When you write this movie
Make it end like we wanted to
And Casey, when you go
Can you come and find me?
I wanna be beside you when you leave this town
I’ll be waving goodbye pretending not to cry
I wanna be someone
If you take me away all the pain will change
Into a memory
When we were amazing
1989, somewhere had hit but it was not moving
What is it with this town?
Everytime I win it just feels like loosing
We would never gonna fit in
I was a mixed-up kid
And you were my sanity
And a yellow car
We don’t even have to go far
Cause that song you’re playing
Soundslike peace on the radio
And Casey, when you go
Can you come and find me?
I wanna be beside you when you leave this town
I’ll be waving goodbye pretending not to cry
I wanna be someone
If you take me away all the pain will change
Into a memory
When we were amazing
When we were amazing
I know things will change
Can’t you stay the same?
Take me away
Ohh, we don’t have to go far
We don’t have to go far
I know…
Ohh
Casey, when you go
Can you come and find me?
I wanna be beside you when you leave this town
I’ll be waving goodbye pretending not to cry
I wanna be someone
If you take me away all the pain will change
Into a memory
When we were…
When we were…
Casey, when you go
Can you come and find me?
I wanna be beside you when you leave this town
I’ll be waving goodbye pretending not to cry
I wanna be someone (I wanna be someone)
If you take me away all the pain will change
Into a memory
When we were amazing
When we…
Driving in your car
With the windows down
And a beated-up stereo
Ohh…
I wanna…
I’m gonna…
I wanna be someone
I wanna…
I’m gonna…
I wanna be someone
I want you
I will come to you
I want you
I will come to you
Just come and get me
Just come and rescue me
I want you
I will come to you
I want you
I will come to you
Coming throught the sky like a satellite
Like a radio wave
A meteorite

Opera legend Pavarotti dies at 71
(CNN) -- It is with enormous sadness that the following statement is released by Terri Robson, manager of legendary Italian tenor, Luciano Pavarotti:
The great tenor, Luciano Pavarotti, died today at 5:00 a.m. at his home in Modena, the city of his birth.
At his side were his wife, Nicoletta; his daughters, Lorenza, Cristina, Giuliana and Alice; his sister, Gabriela; his nephews and close relatives and friends.
The Maestro fought a long, tough battle against the pancreatic cancer which eventually took his life. In fitting with the approach that characterised his life and work, he remained positive until finally succumbing to the last stages of his illness.
His last public performance, singing Nessun Dorma, was at the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, in February 2006 and his last full-scale concert was in Taipei in December 2005. In the months preceding this, he had given Worldwide Farewell Concerts in Central and South America, the USA, Spain, France, Greece, Cyprus, Croatia, Japan, China, Russia, the Czech Republic, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
Two years ago, he launched a vocal academy for talented young singers in Modena where he taught a personally hand picked group of students. Up until a few weeks before his death, he committed several hours each day to teaching his pupils at his summer villa in Pesaro on Italy's Adriatic Coast. He was also planning to complete a recording of sacred songs and unveil the next phase of the Pavarotti International Voice Competition.
Earlier this week, he was honoured by the Italian Government with the 'Premio per l'Esccellenza nella Cultura Italiana' (for outstanding contribution to Italian culture). La Scala Milan and Modena's Teatro Communale also announced a joint Luciano Pavarotti Award. On learning of the tributes, he said, "the recognition gives me the opportunity to continue to celebrate the magic of a life dedicated to the arts and it fills me with pride and joy to have been able to promote my magnificent country abroad. I always strive to share with youth the passion of opera and applaud La Scala for setting up a scheme which presents young people with the opportunity to take their talents to that unparalleled opera stage".
Throughout his illness, he was supported by the devotion and love of his wife, Nicoletta, and their four-year old daughter, Alice, alongside his three daughters from his first marriage, Lorenza, Cristina and Giuliana and a large number of relatives, loyal friends and colleagues. He remained optimistic and confident that he would overcome the disease and had been determined to return to the stage to complete his Worldwide Farewell Tour, which he was halfway through before being struck down by illness in New York in July 2006.
"I think a life in music is a life beautifully spent and this is what I have devoted my life to". Luciano Pavarotti (12 October 1935 - 6 September 2007)

Open minded
I don’t know how to start talkin about this topic, it really irritates me when ppl call their selves open minded and civilized coz they are runnin around half naked or naked in the streets.
Yes I HATE IT! You can’t call someone civilized or open minded coz of the way they are dressed, what’s goin on ppl!!??? Where is your brain? It’s defiantly not up in your heads! :S
I hate when a girl looks irritated coz a guy commented on the way she dresses and call him names! Won’t she stops and thinks, asks herself why he said that? "Is there sth wrong with the way I dress that made him says that?" Yes sometimes guys can be so sick and sleazy so don’t give them a chance to be so!
Recently I saw many changes going on in Amman that at some point made me feel so like a foreigner in my own city! I don’t know where ppl are heading but I know it’s not goin into the right direction!

Travelling

Ok I went to Syria last Wednesday and got back yesterday, you can say that I had fun there if you omitted the parts of crossing in and out the both countries. Leaving the border out of Jordan was so easy and smooth and somehow the officers were nice “not sth common in Jordan” entering the Syrian border was hell for me, specially that they questioned me and so, “I really was nervous and scared”, if you ask me why they did that my answer will be I DON’T KNOW THE HELL WHY!! My brother said it might be that I similar name to someone who is wanted as a joke and believe me it wasn’t a joke for me!!

I was really impressed by the developing that been going in Syria, new malls, new stores, new restaurants, and BRAND NAMES stores such as, Mango, Promod, Celio, Koton, Morgan, and more… I had fun with the family.
In our way back home the Syrian border was so so crowded and they did question me again! Which made me angry, after one hour and half waiting with 42c temperature we were done and headed to the Jordanian border the officer was so mean and impolite, talking to the women in a way that made me so mad “ he refuse to stamp the women passports till their men (husbands, brothers) were there!!!! The women said nothing and had to mix up in the men queue so they won’t lose their turn! What an idiot! I went to him and asked him to stamp mine and as all other women he said when your brother come in then I will stamp it for you, and I said why! Stamp mine and let me out of here so I can rest in the car, the LAZY officer didn’t like that! And said in mean way, “go rest in the car and let your brother stamp yours! “ I looked at him and said “FINE! But you better not ask for me when he gives you my passport” then I left! What made me so mad is the way he treated the women and that there was only one counter is working when there should be 4 and it was so crowded .

Toulouse Lautrec’s - La Blanchisseuse

As I'm cleaning my room and my Uni projects I found this painting, I don’t know why i picked it? And I don’t know why I chose this Artist? Could it be cause of a challenge or cause it represent sth in me…
Here is a link about the artist and the painting.

Crazy or what!?
Did you ever woke up one day and decided to do sth crazy, well I think I did today!
Instead of goin to work, I visited a friend at the pharmacy where she works! Then went straight ahead to the hair salon and dyed my hair!! Not brown, not black, not blonde and not hazelnut, its RED! And not normal red color its COPPER RED! My mom called me on my cell while I was there and I ignored her hehe “I knew she won’t have let me do it”. Everyone was like huh! Why that color! Geez you are bold to do it!
To be honest I don’t know why I did it and why I chose that color! All what I know is that I needed a change in the way I look, and I think I did the job :p it was really cool to try sth none have did before and I do think I did want to do sth weird and not expected even if it’s only about dyeing hair , so what if the color turned to be bad and don’t fit me! I can easily change it!!
The result was that everyone in the salon was shocked of how the color looked on me :D and I am happy “relived” that the color suited me!!! :p
